Montero Mining & Exploration Ltd. is a Chile-focused gold and copper exploration company advancing projects using a disciplined, geology-led, data-driven approach, supported by AI-assisted and machine-learning tools for integrated data interpretation and target prioritisation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montero holds approximately 203 km\u00b2 of copper\u2013molybdenum exploration concessions in northern Chile\u2019s Atacama region, within the highly prospective Palaeocene porphyry copper-molybdenum belt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Company has also optioned two gold exploration projects in Chile\u2019s Maricunga Belt, a prolific high-sulphidation epithermal district, prospective for both epithermal and porphyry mineralization. Integrated geological interpretation and AI-assisted target screening are used to prioritise exploration and drill targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montero\u2019s leadership team brings extensive exploration and capital markets experience, ensuring AI tools complement \u2014 rather than replace \u2014 geological judgment, field validation, and Qualified Person oversight.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Montero has delivered mineral discoveries and resource delineation across multiple commodities and jurisdictions, including rare earth elements (Tanzania), lithium (Namibia), and phosphates (South Africa).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Montero received US$27 million from an out-of-court settlement with the Government of Tanzania and returned approximately CAD$15 million to shareholders through a return of capital, strengthening the balance sheet and sharpening the Company\u2019s focus on exploration in Chile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corporate Vision<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Montero\u2019s objective is to create shareholder value by advancing quality exploration assets from discovery through technical studies to monetisation via joint venture, sale, or development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To date, Montero has achieved key milestones including mineral discoveries, NI 43-101 compliant resource estimates, NI 43-101 Preliminary Economic Assessments (PEAs), and mining studies \u2014 demonstrating an ability to advance projects to decision points, including technical studies prepared in accordance with NI 43-101 where applicable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montero will continue to use its technical expertise and established network in Chile to secure additional opportunities through direct licence applications, joint ventures, and selective acquisitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
